Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has just announced presales of an American whiskey she’s created as an homage to her great-grandfather.

The Grammy-award winning superstar joined forces with Moët Hennessy for the spirit, called SirDavis, her inaugural venture into the beverage business, which has been “years in the making,” according to Tuesday’s news release.

The whiskey is named for her great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, who worked as a farmer and moonshiner in the American South during Prohibition and would stash whiskey bottles in the empty knots of cedar trees. It takes inspiration from Japanese and Scottish styles, while being finished, blended, and bottled in Texas.

“When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whiskey was fated,” Knowles-Carter said in the release, adding that she’s always been drawn to the power and confidence she feels when drinking quality whiskey. “SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him.”
